Prime Video Unveils New Citadel Trailer: Honey Bunny Teases Intense Action, Drama, and Suspense

On Tuesday, Prime Video unveiled the highly anticipated second trailer for its Original series, Citadel: Honey Bunny. The first trailer, released earlier this month, garnered an incredible response from global audiences, leaving viewers eagerly awaiting the series’ debut. Fans of Varun Dhawan, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and the directorial duo Raj & DK were particularly excited as the new trailer dropped. The series dives deeper into the thrilling narrative of stuntman Bunny (Varun Dhawan), who enlists struggling actress Honey (Samantha) for a risky side job. Together, they are thrust into a high-stakes realm filled with action, espionage, and deception.

The latest trailer amps up the excitement, showcasing the estranged elite spies reuniting years later to safeguard their young daughter, Nadia, as their dark past comes back to haunt them. Set in the Citadel universe, the Indian adaptation is helmed by the talented Raj & DK (Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK) and penned by Sita R. Menon alongside them. Produced by D2R Films and Amazon MGM Studios, the series is executive produced by the Russo Brothers’ AGBO, with Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, Angela Russo-Otstot, and Scott Nemes from AGBO, alongside David Weil (of Hunters), at the helm. Midnight Radio also joins as an executive producer.

Starring the immensely talented Varun Dhawan and Samantha in lead roles, the series boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Kay Kay Menon, Saqib Saleem, Simran, Sikandar Kher, Soham Majumdar, Shivankit Parihar, and Kashvi Majmundar. Citadel: Honey Bunny is set to premiere exclusively on Prime Video in India and over 240 countries and territories worldwide on November 7.The first season of Citadel, featuring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas alongside Stanley Tucci and Lesley Manville, debuted to critical acclaim in 2023. Executive produced by the Russo Brothers’ AGBO, Citadel and its subsequent action-packed espionage series explore the gripping saga of the spy agency Citadel and its formidable adversary, Manticore. Production is currently underway for Season Two of Citadel, with Joe Russo taking the director’s chair.
