On Monday, February 7, 2022, actor Pravin Kumar Sobti died. He was most known for his role as Bheem in the hit television drama Mahabharat. The actor passed away after suffering a heart attack. According to accounts, Pravin Kumar Sobti had been sick for a long time and was in financial trouble.
After playing Bheem in BR Chopra’s Mahabharat, Pravin Kumar Sobti became a household name. At the age of 75, he passed away. Kumar’s daughter Nikunika told Indian Express, “He passed away yesterday around 9.30 pm. He suffered a heart attack. He died at home in Delhi.”
His acting career began with the role of Bheem in Mahabharat. Pravin Kumar Sobti, in addition to playing Bheem, has been in a number of successful films, including Amitabh Bachchan’s Shahenshah and Dharmendra’s Loha. Aaj Ka Arjun, Ajooba, and Ghayal are just a few of his other flicks. He appeared in almost 50 films, the most recent of which was ‘Mahabharat Aur Barbareek,’ which was released in 2013.
Pravin excelled in sports before becoming an actor. He competed in the hammer and discus throws. He won four Asian Games medals and also competed in the 1968 Mexico and 1972 Munich Olympics for India. For his bravery, the actor was also given the Arjuna Award. He has previously served as the Border Security Force’s Deputy Commandant. However, he quit it to pursue his acting career. In 2013, the actor ran for the Delhi Assembly Elections on the Aam Aadmi Party’s platform.
