Alia Bhatt looks divine in her retro avatar on the first day of Gangubai Kathiawadi promotions
Alia Bhatt is gearing up for the release of her much-awaited film Gangubai Kathiawadi. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali the film is based on a real-life story. The actress commenced the promotional activities in style. She dropped some gorgeous photos on Instagram wearing a stunning outfit. Alia gave a retro vibe as she wore a dreamy white and ivory saree.
Alia’s bombshell look, which received over 1 lakh likes within minutes of being posted, was styled by celebrity stylist Ami Patel. Her stylist took inspiration from her character and went for a retro look, with the actress wearing fresh red flowers in her hair. The floral rose appears in the film multiple times, as Gangubai’s character wears it as a hair accessory and holds it in her hand.
Sharing a series of photos, Alia captioned it, “AA RAHI HAIN GANGU Sirf cinema main – 25th February Se.” Fans flooded the comments section with love-struck and heart emojis, fans are also adoring her character in the film.

In Gangubai Kathiawadi, Alia Bhatt plays a brothel owner who becomes a matriarch and politician. On February 25, the film will be released in theatres. Ajay Devgn, Vijay Raaz, Jim Sarbh, and others star in the film.
Meanwhile, recently it was reported that Alia who is debuting as a producer for her upcoming film Darlings has joined hands with Netflix. The film is also produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies. Darlings is a story about a mother-daughter relationship that features Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma and Roshan Mathew in pivotal roles. Jasmeet K Reen will be directing the Alia Bhatt starrer.
