Prateik Babbar says he was teary-eyed after reading the script of India Lockdown

Prateik Babbar is soon going to appear in his upcoming web series ‘India Lockdown,’ which was revealed recently. This latest Zee5 original depicts how the COVID pandemic affected people’s daily lives in India. Along with this, it reveals the lives of people affected by the COVID crisis. We are sure that everyone who will watch the series will relate to it.

India Lockdown, the next Zee5 original movie trailer, was released a few days ago. The movie explores the effects of the pandemic on Indian citizens’ daily lives. The film throws light on all the people whose lives were affected massively during this phase. Actor Prateik Babbar openly talked about what it was like to put himself in the position of a migrant worker.

Actor Prateik Babbar received immense appreciation for his character after the release of the ‘India Lockdown’ trailer. He appeared in a different character as a daily wage worker in the trailer video.

Here’s what Prateik Babbar said about his role

While talking to the media, Prateik revealed how the script of this series made him emotional to the extent that he even cried. He stated, “When I first went through the script, I was teary-eyed. My role is that of a worker who migrates to a city for work. He is suddenly stuck in a situation in which he must decide whether to stay in the city or return home in any way possible.”

He furthe added, “We did a lot of preparation for this role, and I also met some migrant workers to have close communication with them. This was helpful to understand and play Madhav.”

India Lockdown will start streaming tomorrow, i.e., December 2, on Zee5. Besides Prateik, it also stars Shweta Basu Prasad, Aahana Kumra, Prakash Belawadi, and Sai Tamhankar in significant roles.
