Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan- starrer ‘Project K’ s release to be postponed?
Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Amitabh Bachchan are teaming up for the first time for the highly anticipated sci-fi film ‘Project K.’ Directed by Nag Ashwin, the pan-Indian sci-fi fantasy film is set to hit theatres on January 12, 2024, but it appears like the release date may be pushed back due to Amitabh Bachchan’s injury.
During the filming of ‘Project K’ on5 March , the megastar shattered his rib cartilage and suffered a muscle tear above his right rib cage. And the veteran actor’s recovery is taking longer than expected, delaying the film’s shoot and post-production. And the shoot’s delay may ineffectively push back the film’s releasing date.

According to a recent TOI media source, the film’s release date will be pushed back due to a shooting delay caused by Amitabh Bachchan’s injury recuperation. “It is unclear how long it will take Bachchan saab to resume normal shooting, and the director (Nag Ashwin) and producers (Vyjayanthi Movies) are not in a hurry. They are not pressuring Bachchan saab to resume filming. They will wait as long as it takes, but it is now improbable that Project K will be released in January 2024”, source close to the development revealed to the portal.
70% of ‘Project K’ shooting is completed and as of yet, there has been no formal word from the producers regarding the postponing of the film’s release. Prabhas and Deepika Padukone will appear together for the first time in Nag Ashwin’s ‘Project K’. Both performers have a large fan base, and it will be fascinating to see them on screen together. Disha Patani also plays a crucial role in the film.
Meanwhile, Prabhas is currently busy in the promotion of his upcoming mythological action drama ‘Adipurush’ where he will be seen sharing screen space with Kriti Sanon. Helmed by Om Raut, the film is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on 16 June.
