Popular South Indian actor Kabir Duhan Singh who has impressed audiences with his performances in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films is now all set to make his Marathi debut with Shreyash Jadhav’s upcoming action-comedy film ‘Phakaat’.

In the film, Kabir Duhan Singh will be seen playing the role of a Pakistani terrorist ‘Hafeez Ghulam. Speaking about how he got casted in this film, director Shreyas Jadhav revealed, “The villain of the film is a Pakistani terrorist. So naturally he had to have good control over Hindi and Kabir Duhan Singh has good command Hindi language. Besides, he is a popular face in the South. Basically he has acted in various regional films. Now he wanted to act in Marathi films. It was while searching for this role that the right choice came at the right time. A villain in a film should always fit that character and Kabir fits the role perfectly. That was the reason for choosing Kabir for this role”.

‘Phakaat’ stars Hemant Dhome, Avinash Narkar & Suyog Gorhe in the lead. ‘Fakat’ is produced by Neeta Jadhav and presented by Vakratund Entertainment and Ganaraj Studios. The teaser for the film has been out, and it introduces two useless buffoons, Saleem (Hemant Dhome) and Raju (Suyog Gorhe), who wind up obtaining a highly classified document from the Indian army. They both see it as an excellent opportunity to make a lot of money and plan to sell this document to Pakistan. What transpires next forms the rest of the story.

Phakaat is Shreyas’ maiden directorial venture . Shreyas had also presented films such as “Baghtos Kay Mujara Kar,” “Bus Stop,” “Babu Band Bajaa,” and “Online Binline.”
