Peekay Movie Review : Mr. Perfectionist Aamir in PK Mood

PK Movie Review

Peekay (PK ) Review – Catch Aamir Khan’s out of box character and incredible performance

The much hyped and furor creator movie – Peekay (PK) is all set to release tomorrow with no other releases this Friday. The movie stars Aamir Khan, Anushka Sharma, Boman Irani, while the actors like Shushant Singh Rajput, Sanjay Dutt and Saurabh Shukla are seen in various characters in it. The family comedy drama is directed by the talented man of Tinsel Town called Rajkumar Hirani, while produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Siddharth Roy Kapoor and it is written by Hirani and Abhijat Joshi. The movie is basically a satire on God and Godmen, which is set to release this Friday. The length of the movie is of 153 minutes, while the music is composed by the trio music directors – Ajay Atul, Shantanu Moitra and Ankit Tiwari.

Let’s talk about the plot of the movie. In this film, you find an alien who lands on the planet earth in the search of God with the desire to learn some skills to save his own planet, which happens to be in distress and chaos. Also, he intends is to meet a courtesan, who has a golden heart, which is played by Anushka Sharma.  Together the alien called Peekay played by Aamir Khan and the courtesan team up to change the perception of people towards god. Since he happens to be an alien, who has landed nude (as the poster and trailer depicts), he is unfamiliar with the dressing sense evident on this planet. This is the reason; why you find this man dressing up in both male and female dresses as he barely understands the difference between the attires of the two sexes. In his search of god, he travels all around the world visiting different kinds of worship places like churches, temples and others.  Earlier, this movie had a couple of similarities with OMG (Oh My God), however, a number of changes were carried out after its release, which made it a brand new script for the audience.

The movie, however, starts at overseas location with a slow start, giving a bit of confusion, however, the moment it rolls ahead on the track; it proves out to be a curtain raiser, giving you very less amounts of loo breaks. Thus be prepared to stick to your chairs to catch the gripping movie. Aamir Khan has simply championed with his incredible performance while playing the character of an alien speaking Bojpuri language. In fact, it takes volumes to jot down the kind of performance Mr. Perfectionist has given in Peekay. Indeed it is no exaggeration to claim that Aamir has gone far beyond to play this character and it gives us no hesitation to claim that it was among his best and bestest performances so far in B Town movies. He has indeed surpassed all the expectations set for the movie for his tag of Mr. Perfectionsit, by his friends, foes, fans and critics while playing this role.

It was the first time for Anushka Sharma to work with Mr. Perfectionist, hence in Peekay , you are going to catch the on-screen chemistry of Khan and Sharma the first time, which has indeed gone incredible. She has been phenomenal in her performance portraying her boyish and tomboyish kind of look apart from seeing in a couple of typical roles of a sex worker. She has showcased the amalgamation of a modern and a woman in traditional flesh trade. Her interesting character in PK would certainly add and boost your ecstatic quotient to its zenith. The others like Shushant Singh Rajput and Sanjay Dutt in supporting roles too were good. Sanjay Dutt played the character of PK’s friend, who seemed very much humble and dexterous in the movie. Sanjay Dutt has been a veteran actor in B Town, which you can notice in this character of Bharao Singh in PK. Boman Irani on the other end too has aced in terms of performance and acting over the silver screen.

All credit goes to RajKumar Hirani, who can be called as a one man army. He is known to take out the best from anyone’s potential, be it Aamir, Anushka or Boman Irani, he has that knack and skills to portray the characters he plans for his script. Hence after you watch the actors in different roles as assigned by Raju, you would find them somewhere to be custom or tailor made roles by these men and women in his film. That has been his speciality and expertise, which he has retained in every film he does in Indian Cinema. Indeed, you have to give the credit of PK’s uniqueness in terms of script and out of box story or plot to Raju alone, which he has accomplished with utter perfection and creativity. So, rest turns history as everyone in other portfolio did their jobs keenly and neatly. The music and songs are already doing the buzz in the media. Most of the songs lead over the chartbusters.

Peekay Movie Review  – The Last Word

Peekay  is nothing but an ideal cinematic treat from one of the most talented crew of Bollywood coming together to make this movie. These include Mr. Perfectionist- Aamir Khan, the creative and out of the box thinker and director- Rajkumar Hirani, Boman Irani, Sanjay Dutt, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, and the list go on. It is a movie with extremely strong kind of message for the audience. It is a satire for people who are orthodox in terms of typical and rudimentary beliefs in the name of religion, caste and creed. With the character of PK, Aamir is seen wining loyal friends and making powerful foes. He is seen mending broken lives and even invites wrath of establishments. The naive but childlike inquisitiveness of this man transforms the spiritual odyssey of one and millions of others. The movie is all about novel and ruthless original exploration about intricate philosophies. Besides, it is also a tale of humane and simple laughter and letting-go kind of film. In other words, it can be called as a moving saga encompassing everything.
