Param Sundari Teaser with Maalik Confirms August Release for Sidharth Malhotra–Janhvi Kapoor Starrer; Huma Qureshi’s Baby Do Die Do Promo Debuts in Cinemas

In early June 2025, the media reported that Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films was considering postponing his upcoming romantic drama Param Sundari from its original release date of July 25 to August 29. With July 25 fast approaching and no promotional activity underway, it became evident that the Sidharth Malhotra-Janhvi Kapoor starrer would miss its initial theatrical launch. Yesterday, Maddock Films confirmed the delay in a rather creative way.
On July 11, the film Maalik, starring Rajkummar Rao, hit theaters with two teaser trailers attached to its screening prints. One of these teasers was for Param Sundari. This teaser mirrored the original one released in May, except for one key change: the release date. Instead of stating “This July,” the updated teaser now reads “This August.” The original teaser concluded with “In cinemas, July 25,” whereas the new version simply says, “In cinemas worldwide this August.”This shift has sparked speculation about whether Param Sundari will indeed release on August 29 or on some other date later in the month.
A trade insider told Bollywood Hungama, “August 29 seems like the likely date. If they had planned an August 1 release, promotional activities and distribution deals would have started by now, but that hasn’t happened. It’s also unlikely to release on August 14, as the big films War 2 and Coolie have already claimed that slot. Typically, it’s unwise to release a film too close to the clash of two major releases. This makes August 29 the most suitable date. Still, we await an official announcement.”Alongside the Param Sundari teaser, audiences also got a glimpse of Baby Do Die Do with Maalik.
Produced by Huma Qureshi and Saqib Saleem under the Saleem Siblings banner, this one-minute teaser highlights Huma’s character as the “1st desi female assassin.” Sikandar Kher also stars, with his voice featured in the teaser, which ends with the tagline: “Badi story, badi screen pe, coming soon, baby!”Yesterday, Huma Qureshi and Saqib Saleem took to Instagram to announce that the Baby Do Die Do teaser is currently exclusive to cinemas. They also revealed that the first 5,000 fans who join their broadcast channel will get an exclusive early viewing before the teaser releases digitally.
