Toilet : Ek Prem Katha First Day Box Office Collection

Toilet Ek Prem Movie Review

Finally the most awaited movie starring Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar called Toilet: Ek Prem Katha has hit the theaters today. The film managed to get 3000 screens along with 590 screens in overseas. Despite the big movie of SRK released last week is still in several screens, the movie TEPK has got a sizeable amount of screens. Now talking about the morning shows, the film has managed to get an occupancy of around 30 to 35 percent, which is really a decent figure considering the earlier shows, which is not often filled. With the passing hours, the film has managed to get a decent occupancy and the evening shows turned 100 percent in many places.

Now let’s talk about the business, the star power of Akki seems to be working in a right way getting a huge opening collection for the film. As per reports, the first day box office collection for Toilet: Ek Prem Katha has managed to get a collection of around 12 crores, which is really a good collection for the makers. All the movies of Akshay Kumar released on the I Day earlier like Rustom and Housefull 3 have managed to do better but with Toilet: Ek Prem Katha things would make history. The film is based on the Government of India cleanliness campaign called Swach Bharat Abhiyan, which has been portrayed so well over the screen.

The film resolves around the life of a small town newly wedded couple wherein the lady who got married rebels for not having toilet inside the home. She rejects the idea of going in the open space for the toilet and other things. The film has managed to get a decent ratings by both the audience and critics that has helped the movie perform better over the box office. The experts feel that the film would garner a good word of mouth buzz in the media which will escalate the collection in the first weekend.  One can guess the collection reaching to 50 crores.
