It was rather a busy Friday today as two films released on the screens today. This certainly includes Panga starring Kangana Ranaut and Richa Chadha. The film faced tough competition from the Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor and Prabhu Dheva starrer film Street Dancer 3D giving a low collection at the box office. Also, the film had a lower rating by most of the critics since it seemed flawed technically showcasing the low buzz for it in the media.
As per reports, the occupancy for Panga started with 5 to 10 per cent in the morning shows which even escalated to some extent reaching 30 to 40 per cent but ended up giving nothing much at the box office. As per reports, the 1st-day box office collection for Panga went to around 5.25 Crores at the box office. The film could only get 1400 screens in India, which did not give much space to earn big at the box office.
With this pace, one may not find the film Panga garnering much of the buzz around as it happens to be a niche film which may not attract the audience in a big way as compared to other competitor films like Street Dancer 3D and Tanaji: The Unsung Warrior. Amidst all this, the collection during the first weekend for Panga would be around 15 to 18 Crores at the box office. Well, let us see how things would move for it but at the moment things are not that rosy for it. Stay tuned to know more about it and others only with us.
