Actress Shiny Doshi has succeeded in creating a lucrative niche for herself in the television industry. She experienced her fair share of hardships before succeeding in Telly town, just like any newbie does. In a recent interview, Shiny discussed her experience working on her debut program Saraswatichandra with renowned Bollywood director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and revealed some startling details. Doshi admitted that Bhansali would make fun of her on the sets since she was inexperienced and didn’t know how to act.
The actress further disclosed that the director used to reprimand her nearly every day and that there was a moment when she considered leaving the show. In a conversation with Hindustan Times Shiny stated, “I shot the pilot of Saraswatichandra in 2012. Mujhe kuch nahi aata tha. My director had to yell and shout at me. It used to be very embarrassing for me. Thoda ajeeb lagta tha; lagta tha ki galat jageh toh nahi aagayi hoon main. You question yourself. Main daant sun lete thi and I used to break down in the washroom. I used to gather myself and go back to the set.”

Shiny continued by saying that she used to feel frightened before performing any scene. At the time, she lacked both technical expertise and professional experience. Bhansali wanted everything to be ideal because “Saraswatichandra” was his ambition and biggest television show.
The actress described an event that nearly caused her to leave the show, saying, “Bhansali Ji was sitting there for my appearance test. On the other hand, wo daant bhi aapko ideal hi banati hai. The set pe main itni daant khaati. a thousand times, I wanted to give up. That’s how I used to feel every day. Every morning back then, there wasn’t much joy or enthusiasm. Aaj fir daant khane chalte hain, subah uth ke lagta tha.
