Paltan 1st Weekend Box Office Collection

The B Town was seen having two movies releasing this passing Friday, which included the JP Dutta’s latest movie called Paltan. The movie had scored around 3 crore in the first two days, while for the first Sunday, it went on to score around 3.5 crore to score not a huge collection for it. The film bagged mixed reviews, while it has gained a decent collection on Sunday but not the way the makers were seen collecting. The film though had a couple of things with it that could have worked including the ensemble star cast, and the veteran director who has given some good movies on similar subjects like LOC Kargil and others to prove the patriotism.

As per reports, the film – the 1st weekend box office collection for Paltan tolled to around 6.5 crore, which could be called as a disaster for the makers as it failed to give the huge collection as the makers were expecting. The fact is, the audience failed to show any interest in the film for obvious reasons. We know that the maker is famous for giving war films patriotism and Paltan is no exception. The film happens to be a cap off his war trilogy, which started with the film called Border released in 1997.  The makers also have failed to promote the movie in the media, which also has prevented to create the kind of response in the media.

The film though showcased an important historical event and winning moments for the country and has carried out a decent start cast, which included Jackie Shroff, Sonu Sood, Arjun Rampal, Harshvardhan Rane, Sonal Chauhan, and Esha Gupta, yet it failed to attract the audience at large. As per experts, much has to do with the negative reviews which have been given by the critics of the known media groups, which have together failed to impress the audience in a big way. This has therefore hampered the film to gain the word of mouth buzz in the media, which has resulted to such a low collection for the film. Stay tuned to know more about it!
