During the success celebration, Ranbir Kapoor hinted at the massive box office collection of “Animal” and emphasized that nothing surpasses the love for movies. Speaking to the media, he said, “I want to thank all of you for being here today to celebrate ‘Animal.’ It is a film that some people had issues with, but I believe that the love, success, and numbers it has achieved prove that nothing surpasses the love for a movie. Nothing goes beyond movies.” Following the film’s release, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga also addressed the negativity surrounding “Animal” and dismissed the criticism, stating that only a few individuals were labeling it as misogynistic.
In response to Javed Akhtar’s criticism, the Twitter page of “Animal” wrote, “A writer of your caliber cannot understand the betrayal of a lover (between Zoya & Ranvijay), then your entire art form is a big falsehood. If a woman (betrayed and fooled by a man in the name of love) were to say ‘lick my shoe,’ you guys would celebrate it by calling it feminism. Let love be free from the politics of gender. Let’s just call them lovers. The lover cheated and lied.
