Pakistani actor Humaira Asghar Ali found dead at home; know more about her
Humaira's body was found at an apartment in the Ittehad Commercial neighborhood, according to South Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Syed Asad Raza.
On Tuesday, July 8, Humaira Asghar Ali, a Pakistani model and actress, was discovered dead in an apartment in Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Phase-VI. Many have been shocked to learn that the 32-year-old most likely died about two weeks prior to police officers finding her body.
The passing of Humaira has shocked people both inside and outside of Pakistan.
Humaira had appeared in Tamasha Ghar, ARY’s reality show, which shares a Big Brother-like concept. She also starred in Jalaibee, an action-thriller movie released in 2015. She appeared in the Pakistani movie as a model.
In addition, Humaira appeared in numerous Pakistani dramas, including Guru, Ehsaan Faramosh, Chal Dil Mere, and Just Married.
Her most recent appearance was in the movie Love Vaccine, which starred Sonya Hussyn and Farhan Saeed in the key parts. The movie came out in 2021.
Her Instagram bio stated that she was a multi-talented artist who worked as a model, painter, sculptor, and in theater, television, and film. She also identified as a fitness and wellness enthusiast.
She didn’t do anything on Instagram, even though she had over 713K followers. On September 30, 2024, she published her most recent post, which included a number of unposed pictures.
According to Pakistani news portal Images, Humaira’s body was found at an apartment in the Ittehad Commercial neighborhood, according to South Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Syed Asad Raza. Following a request from the landlord to have the apartment removed due to unpaid rent, the Gizri police arrived at the property at approximately 3:15 pm, as directed by a local court.
Officers entered after receiving no response at the door and discovered Humaira’s decomposing body there. There were no immediate indications of foul play because the apartment, including the balcony door, had been locked from the inside.
For legal and medical reasons, Humaira’s body was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC).
The actress reportedly stopped paying rent earlier this year and has been living alone in the rented property, according to media reports. After failing to get in touch with her, the landlord filed for eviction in court.
Police say they are awaiting the postmortem report to ascertain the precise cause of death, even though preliminary investigations indicate it may not have been a homicide.
