Kavithalaya Productions Set To Sponsor Four New Web Series

Kavithalaya ProductionsKavithalaya Productions leading under the banner of late director K Balachander is all set to sponsor four new upcoming web series. These web shows are under production and will soon be featuring the OTT platform under its production.

The production house has made its comeback with Amazon Prime Video’s Harmony in association with AR Rahman and an extended collaboration with the famed directors Priya, RS Prasanna, Vignesh Karthick, and Saran. The projects were launched on the occasion of K Balachander’s 89th birth anniversary.

Pushpa Kandaswamy, responsible for operations management for the company in an interview on a media platform said, “The project with Priya (of Kanda Naal Mudhal fame), is a story about how fate brings together four women from different walks of life. The one co-produced by RS Prasanna, is a sociopolitical thriller, which will be helmed by Praveen Raghupathy. Saran will direct a series that will capture the events during the release of the 1976 Kamal-starrer Manmadha Leelai.”

Adding on the same, he mentioned that Kavithalaya will also be collaborating with a popular media channel for the sequel of Vignesh Karthik’s Yours Shamefully series.

Pushpa further added, “This will be an anthology with eight episodes, each addressing an issue in society.”

All four projects that are currently in the pipeline will be pitched to various OTT platforms.
