Just when we heard that Shah Rukh Khan denied doing the role of Mogambo for Mr. India 2, we now hear that the superstar seems to have given a second thought about this iconic role. The film was announced this month on 16th Feb and the very next day Ranveer Singh was approached to do the lead role in, which was even confirmed by the actor. The film was announced by Zee Studios with Ali Abbas Zafar being the director of the film.
Ali announced the film on the Microblogging site via his Twitter Handle. He wrote he is excited now to be the part of the film with Zee Studios and then added that it is a huge responsibility on his shoulders to shoot this big film. Talking about the same, he said he is currently working on the script and once it is locked, he will continue with the star cast. However, some reports suggested that SRK has been approached for the said iconic role.
Also, we heard that Shah Rukh Khan denied doing this role but as the makers insisted, he is ready to do a test shot with Ranveer Singh. And if things work out, he may opt the role for the sequel. Ranveer Singh is likely to play the character called Arun Verma, which was played by Anil Kapoor. The film is likely to have heavy VFX work, which will be done by SRK owned company Red Chillies Entertainment. SRK is likely to be seen in a rich costume outfit for the role, however, the hat and blazer of the original character played by Amrish Puri would remain the same as signature stuff.
