OMG: Kalki Koechlin Was Addressed as ‘Russian Prostitute’ Post Dev D
Kalki Koechlin has been known for her versatility, and is among few actresses in B Town has added value to her work and the roles she has played in different movies. Every film speaks a lot about her acting skills. Right from the movie Margarita With A Straw to Sacred Games, she has proved her mettle hard in the Tinsel Town. However, for her, it was no easy way to enter the industry having her origins in Europe.
She did her debut with the Anurag Kashyap film called Dev D and in a recent revelation she informed that she was called as a ‘Russian Prostitute’ after doing her debut movie Dev D. In her recent interaction with the movie, Kalki was seen talking about the experience she has faced in the industry. She talked about casting couch experience and informed that one of the directors giving her role has asked to go for a date with him. However, she refused and later blacklisted from getting any movie.
She even failed to get work after her excellent performance in the Karan Johar film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani for around a year. Talking to the media she shared her casting couch experience. She said a producer wanted to go for a date with the diva promising her the film but it did not happen as she said no. She also said that she was addressed as Russian Prostitute by few in the industry to which she denied saying them that she is not a Russian but an actress. She was last seen in Gully Boy apart from being seen in Anurag Kashyap’s Sacred Games 2.
