Cirkus Box Office Prediction: Ranveer Singh’s comedy-drama to break records? Read!

Bollywood filmmaker Rohit Shetty is all set for the release of his much-awaited film Cirkus. The film stars Ranveer Singh, Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Johnny Lever. The censor board of film certification (CBFC) recently granted the picture a ‘UA’ certificate with an allowed length of 2hr 22mins or 142 minutes.

One week before its release, on Saturday, December 17, the Cirkus advance reservations data was made public. Pre-sales have thus far had a sluggish response. Cirkus’ total revenue as of December 21 at 1:00 pm is merely 65.98L. As of right now, with one and a half day remaining, Cirkus is projected to bring in 2-3 Cr in pre-sales for the launch day, based on patterns.

According to Rohit Shetty’s filmography, Cirkus, which has an estimated budget of 70 crores, is anticipated to play on 2800–3200 screens in the Indian market.

Simmba was shown on 4,000 screens in India, whereas Sooryavanshi was shown on 3500+ screens (pandemic release). Cirkus will have a hard time filling screens, though, given India’s Avatar obsession. In India, Avatar 2 has been screened on 3800 screens.

According to the budget, Cirkus would need to gross between 100 and 120 crores net at the Indian box office in order to be a financially viable endeavour. Since Bol Bachchan, Rohit Shetty hasn’t had a film debut for less 20 crores (2012). His most recent movie, Sooryavnashi, which was released amid the epidemic, debuted in India with 26.29 Cr and quickly became a hit.

The Cirkus is now expected to carry on Rohit Shetty’s popular trend. Early predictions predict that Cirkus will bring in between 12 and 15 Cr in India.
