OMG: Big B Apologized for referring Maratha ruler without salutation
Big B has often faced the allegation of being a Non-Marathi and still ruling the city of Mumbai. However, he has often gracefully come out of the issue. This time again he seems to be in trouble for addressing a Maratha ruler without adding the salutation. Currently, the megastar is hosting the 11th season of the reality game called Kaun Banega Crorepati and the show has managed to gain the highest of the TRP.
Just then we saw the #BoycottKBC trending on Twitter. This Thursday, Big B was seen posting a question to a contestant opposite to his seat based on Indian History. The question was about asking as to which among the four options – Maharana Pratap, Rana Sanga, Maharaja Ranjit Singh and Shivaji was Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. Soon when he gave the options without adding the salutation of Maharaj for Shivaji, the netizen were quick to react on it.
People objected to the fact as to how on earth Big B can address the great Maratha leader and king – Shivaji Maharaj without the salutation. Big B was quick to realize this and he issued an apology to this saying that it was unintentional and was not to hurt the sentiments of the people. Even the channel SET was quick to join Big B’s tweet and issued the apology. You can check the tweets as under:
