OMG: AICWA Bans Mika Singh as he Performs in Pakistan

Mika Singh slap controversy

The ongoing rift between Pakistan and Indian Government over the issue of Article 370, has led the former to ban Indian movies in their land in retaliation to the J&K decision. However, amidst all this mess, we see Mika Singh performing at Lahore in Parvez Musharraff’s relatives wedding. Soon when the All India Cine Workers Association commonly known as AICWA learnt about it, they boycotted the singer by banning him from the B Town.

This happened last night when the association came to know about Mika’s action and soon they issued a press release about it stating that they ban the singer and boycott him from taking him into any film as he has performed at Lahore on the said wedding function. The association has further assured for tough measures to be taken against the singer asking all the production studios, music companies and music content related groups to put a ban on him.

They are not taking up this case to the Information and Broadcasting Ministry and would request to take some legal action as well from the Court of Law claimed the statement. I&B Ministry is likely to intervene in the matter to take tough measures against the singer and actor. On the other side, Richa Chaddha who is in the film Section 375 was seen commenting on the artists of India and Pakistan saying that actors from both the nations want peace as they share similar culture and language. She then said its time to be human rather than promoting such things like ban or boycott.
