Shriya Pilgaonkar is an actress active in TV and films. She was born on 25th April 1989 in Mumbai and was brought up in the same city. Besides an actress, she is also a stage performer, director, and producer. She comes from Pilgaonkar (Sachin Pilgaonka & Supriya Pilgaonkar) who are into production, acting and direction. She did her schooling from Mumbai and was active in swimming and bagged several medals for her school. She liked languages and learnt Japanese thinking that she would become a translator or linguist expert. She completed her graduation in Sociology from the known institute – Sr. Xavier’s College Mumbai. She loved dancing and animations since childhood.

Since she comes from Pilaonkar family, she got the chance to act on TV as a child artist in the TV show called Tu Tu Main Main. She played a boy’s role called Bittu from the neighbourhood. She did her debut in 2012 in plays performing a 10-minute short play called Freedom Of Love by Karan Shetty. The play later made its presence at the Short and Sweet Festival called NCPA. This play gave her the chance to play, dance, sing and act. Some of her plays include Freedom of Love, Internal Affairs, Common People, and Bombay Dying. Some of her films include the Marathi one called Ekulti Ek, Un Plus Une, the SRK starrer movie Fan and her next film Stranger Group, which has hit the floor.

Some of her TV shows include Stupid Cupid, and currently, she is doing the web series called Mirzapur aired at Amazon Prime Video. She is playing the role of Sweety in it. She has made a few short films which she has directed and produced as well. These include The Painted Signal, Dresswala, and Panchgavya, which is a documentary film. She has also made her mark within the ad world doing a couple of commercial ads with Bollywood celebs like Shahid Kapoor and others. She is currently not dating anyone apart from being a gorgeous girl, while she is focussing on her career at the moment as she plans to go long in this industry.
