No bail for Aryan Khan as his bail plea was denied by the special NDPS Court

On Wednesday, a special NDPS court denied actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan’s bail application. The court, while hearing the 23-year-bail old’s application on October 14, postponed its decision until October 20, citing the Dussehra festivities and the long weekend. Aryan’s bail application, as well as that of his companion Arbaaz Merchant and other defendants, were heard in court today.

After being arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on October 3, Sunday from an alleged rave party, Aryan Khan has been in detention for 17 days. The celebrity kid was later placed in judicial custody at the Arthur Road jail. On Thursday, Aryan’s lawyer argued in court that nothing was taken from their client during the arrest, and thus there is no case against him, whilst the NCB argued for an extension of imprisonment, claiming that his ties to alleged peddlers need to be investigated further. Anil Singh, the Additional Solicitor General, informed the court that Aryan’s ties to illegal drug procurement and distribution had been discovered.

The anti-drug agency’s statement in the court read, “Aryan Khan sourced drugs and was in touch with some persons abroad who appear to be a part of an International Drug Network for illicit procurement of drugs. WhatsApp chats reveal the accused was in touch with a foreign national for a bulk quantity of hard drugs.”

Meanwhile, the superstar’s son recently had a video conversation with his parents as part of a new service granted for undertrials during the pandemic time, which allows them to talk to their family members and lawyers through video call using a mobile provided by the police.
