Pravin Tarde and Ashok Samarth starrer historical action epic ‘Baloch’ has already created a lot of buzz on social media since its announcement. Now the makers have dropped a new motion poster of the film which is aided by a riveting song in Kailash Kher’s vocals.

The motion poster shows both Pravin Tarde and Ashok Samarth in ferocious avatar. Written and directed by Prakash Pawar the film’s story revolves around Marathas who lost in the Panipat battle. Very few people know that after losing the Panipat battle, many Maratha soldiers were then captured and taken to Balochistan ( which is now split between three countries: Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan) and were made to work as slaves.

The film tells the tale of these soldiers’ struggle in Balochistan and how they managed to live under such difficult circumstances. “Baloch is a positive story,” director Prakash Pawar said about the film. “We’ve heard of Panipat before, but only in relation to Maratha’s defeat. However, after the battle of Panipat, when they were enslaved, they also faced many difficulties, but they were able to reunite, and we have shown that in this film. The battle of Panipat was a tale of valor, not defeat. I hope that after watching this film, the audience will feel this pride and that it will change their perspective on the Panipat incident.”

This is not the first time Pravin Tarde will be seen playing Maratha soldier in historical epic. The actor played a titular role in last year’s popular historical epic ‘Sarsenapati Hambirrao’, which was also directed by him. Baloch also stars actors like Bhaurao Nanasaheb Karhade, Tejashree Jadhav, Vishal Nikam and Rohit Aawale in pivotal roles. The film will arrive in cinemas on 5 May 2023.
