Netflix announced bunch of new Indian series and films with release schedule. Save the Date!

On September 24, during its yearly TUDUM event, Netflix revealed its new lineup of Indian movies and television shows. A fresh lineup of Indian originals on the OTT platform was introduced. Rana Naidu’s teaser premiere included Rana and Venkatesh Daggubati, as well as Monica O My Darling, which also featured Huma Qureshi, Tabu’s Khufia, and Rajkummar Rao. The trailer for Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale was also presented. Zakir Khan, a stand-up comedian, and Prajakta Koli hosted Tudum India.

Netflix: The following is a list of upcoming Indian movies and television shows from the TUDUM event.


O My Darling, a song by Monica, was used as the opening number for the TUDUM India event. The dark comedy, which is directed by Vasan Bala and stars Rajkummar Rao, Huma Qureshi, and Radhika Apte, Neo-noir film about a beautiful plan that ends in mayhem. Sikandar Kher, Sukant Goel, Zayn Marie Khan, Bhagawati Perumal, and Akansha Ranjan Kapoor are also featured in this crime drama.


Real-life uncle-nephew actors Rana Daggubati and Venkatesh Daggubati, who portray a father and son in the series, are featured in Rana Naidu. There is a lot of action and excitement teased in the series. Rana Naidu, a Mumbai-based film, centers on a man who performs grubby tasks for the city’s most influential citizens. His father is abruptly released from prison, setting off a chain of events that could completely alter the story. Karan Anshuman and Suparn Varma are the directors, and Locomotive Global Inc. and Sunder Aaron are responsible for their production.


Vishal Bhardwaj, a filmmaker, introduced Khufiya. Khufiya is based on the book Escape to Nowhere, he revealed. It was written by a former spy and was based on actual occurrences. Tabu, Ali Fazal, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Ashish Vidyarthi are the stars of the spy drama.


On the occasion, the teaser for the upcoming series Class was also released. When three new students from a radically different background enroll for a new term at the elite Hampton International, the dynamics at the school experience an abrupt transformation that upends the status quo. Gurfateh Pirzada, Anjali Sivaraman, Ayesha Kanga, Cyaawal Singh, Chintan Rach, Chayan Chopra, Madhyama Segal, Moses Koul, Naina Bhan, Piyush Khati, and Zeyn Shaw are among the cast members of Class, which is produced by Sukesh Motwani, Mautik Tolia, and Persis Siganporia and directed by Ashim Ahl.


Scoop is a television show based on the true account of what happened when a reporter was fatally shot in the open, as told in Jigna Vora’s book Behind The Bars In Byculla: My Days In Prison. It follows Jagruti Pathak’s journey, a driven crime reporter whose world implodes after she is accused of killing a fellow reporter. Scoop, a film by Matchbox Shots, Sanjay Routray, and Sarita Patil, is directed by Hansal Mehta. It also stars Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub, Harman Baweja, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Tejasvini Kolhapure, Shikha Talsania, Tanmay Dhanania, and Karishma Tanna.


The Kathal initial look was unveiled by Tudum India (which translates to jackfruit). The humorous play is based on a real event. A young and sincere police officer, Sanya Malhotra, is assigned to investigate the strange case of a local politician’s cherished jackfruits going missing. Yashowardhan Mishra makes his feature film directing debut with Kathal, which is made by Sikhya Entertainment and Balaji Telefilms.


The soup was presented by Manoj Bajpayee. The Abhishek Chaubey-directed film follows chef Swathi Shetty as she devises a strategy to have her boyfriend take the place of her spouse. Her efforts could backfire though if a clueless town inspector and a group of evil meddlers get involved. Abhishek Chaubey is the film’s director, and Honey Trehan and Chetana Kowshik are its producers. Manoj Bajpayee, Konkona Sensharma, Nasser, Sayaji Shinde, and Lal feature in the suspenseful film.


This special about one of India’s most deeply private yet immensely adored Superstars felt like a welcome addition to the Tudum India schedule after all the unexpected jokes, dramatic drama, and over-the-top musical moments. The program centers on Nayanthara’s love story, who recently wed filmmaker Vignesh Shivan in a fairy tale wedding. The Tudum India audience got an inside look into their life, marriage, and other aspects of their existence in Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale. For the special created by The Rowdy Pictures, renowned director Gautam Vasudevan assumes the job of director.


It was a teaser CAT, who is portrayed by Randeep Hooda and is a former civilian informant, who was also introduced during the TUDUM India event. Randeep portrays Gurnam, who must confront his troubled past after being forced to revert to becoming an informant to save his brother’s life. Jimmy Singh, Rupinder Chahal, and Balwinder Singh Janjua collaborated on the film’s direction, and they also produced it.

Netflix : QALA

The TUDUM event also saw the release of the Qala teaser. The film Qala, which is set in the 1930s and the late 1940s, tells the tale of a young playback singer whose sad past eventually catches up with her, causing her to fall apart just as she was reaching the pinnacle of her hard-won achievement. Triptii Dimri, Swastika Mukherjee, Babil Khan, and Amit Sial are among the cast members of Qala, a movie directed by Anvitaa Dutt and made by Karnesh Sharma.


Yami Gautam, Sunny Kaushal, and Sharad Kelkar are the stars of the Ajay Singh-directed and Maddock Films-produced Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga. It tells the tale of a flight attendant and her business partner who set out on a mission to steal jewels and escape a loan shark’s grasp. The theft, however, goes tragically wrong and develops into a hostage situation at 40,000 feet in the air.


The TUDUM event was concluded with a first peek at Guns & Gulaabs. Raj & DK are the directors and D2R is the producer. The dark comedy takes place in the 1990s in a small Indian hamlet. Guns & Gulaabs will feature love, crime, and a tonne of nostalgia for the mid-1990s, according to actor Dulquer Salmaan. Rajkummar Rao, Adarsh Gourav, TJ Bhanu, and Gulshan Devaiah are also featured in Guns & Gulaabs.

Netflix TUDUM has announcements for nations other than India, including Europe, North America, Latin America, and Japan.
