Just when the country was mourning the death of Rishi Kapoor after Irrfan Khan, we saw a section of media showing one news that even the veteran actor, Naseeruddin Shah, is hospitalised. Certain news channels were showing the same but soon his family came forward to reject this news claiming that the Waiting actor is fine and healthy and is very much in his home in Mumbai
Later, his son Vivaan Shah also issued one public statement by tweeting from his account to confirm the same. You can check his tweet as under:

Later, Saira Shah Halim who happens to be the niece of Naseeruddin Shah also confirmed the same. As per Saira, her father Lieutenant General Zameer Uddin Shah, had called Naseer at his home the very same day and he seems perfect in terms of health. She said amid the lockdown, the actor is in his home and is doing fine. with wife Ratna in Mumbai and that the news saying that he has been hospitalised is fake news.
Vivaan in his tweet said that his father is fine and is praying for Chintu Ji and Irfan Bhai. He further added that he is missing them a lot and has expressed his deepest condolences to their families. Talking about Naseeruddin Shah, the veteran actor has informed earlier that he is enjoying the plays of William Shakespeare in the lockdown.
