She has been an ace actor and a keen producer of some of the finest films delivered in Bollywood. Owning a pretty dark skin, she is herself a proud supporter of dark hues.

This is also one reason for the actress taking such a responsive approach on this account.

Her video on this remarkable issue is a straightforward approach to skin colour equality in India.

Taking her fight ahead against the biases against darker skin tones, actor and director Nandita Das has created this new video that has been titled as India’s Got Colour. She has been associated for some time with the NGO Women of Worth, which launched the campaign “dark is beautiful” in 2009. Taking a lead in the same, the veteran actor-dierctor has taken this form of extended messaging.

Watching the video, it can be seen that the video tackles the several stupid stereotypes that women with dark skin have to deal with almost every time and everywhere, whether it is their homes and workspaces. The ensemble including the notable names like Ratna Pathak Shah, Radhika Apte, Kanwaljit Singh, Gul Panag, Swara Bhaskar, and many others is aimed at attracting attention towards such a silly yet notable affair and concern. The video was created in association with the JSW Group.
