Munawar Iqbal Faruqui is an actor and stand-up rapper or comedian. He was born 28th Jan 1992 in Indian Muslim family in Junagadh, Gujarat. His family headed to Mumbai after getting affected by 2002 communal riots in the state. He lost his mother when he was barely 16. He had to join work to support his family when he was 17 and his father was also sick. He worked in an utensil store and even attended school. In his 20’s he started working as a graphic designer.Â
Later in 2017 he came across different OTT platforms and later got introduced in India and later went to work as a comedian. In 2020, he started uploading a couple of standup comedy videos with Dawood, Yamraaj and Aurat on his channel and then went on to earn big stardom. He even released his debut song known as Jawab working with Spectra musicians in Aug 2020.Â
On Feb 22, he seemed to have become a contestant on the TV show called Lock Upp with Kangana Ranaut as the host. He made news for his controversial video which he never made in 2021. He was arrested for the video in Indore on a complaint of a BJP Mala Malni Gaur son who was acquitted of making malicious jokes against religious deities and Amit Shah, the HM of Govt. Of India.
