India’s first jail-themed reality show hosted by Kangana Ranaut Lock Upp has just begun a day ago. Well, on day one itself, Kangana Ranaut banters with a contestant Munawar Faruqui.
During the premiere of the show, Kangana Ranaut was seen quoting “saza-e-maut” for one of Munawar’s comment, to which fumed the show
and Munawar replied, “dhamkiya mat dijiye”. Later Kangana said, “Why are you here? I hope you don’t mess with me… Mazak kar ri hu year. Hum bhi toh joke maar sakte hai na.” To which Munawar said, “it was not funny”.
To the unversed, Munawar Faruqui is an Indian stand-up comedian who was imprisoned for his actions. Munawar Faruqui has been accused of questioning many people’s religious dedication.
Lock Upp, hosted by none other than Kangana Ranaut is a brave reality show, is officially released. Content Czarina Ekta R Kapoor has once again proven her mettle by offering the viewers a first-of-its-kind reality program. The first episode of the show was released yesterday on ALTBalaji and MX Player. The premise of the show is unique in that it keeps the 13 most contentious celebrities in jail together.
ALTBalaji and MX Player both live-streamed the show 24 hours a day, seven days a week on their own platforms, allowing viewers to interact with the competitors directly.
