Munawar Faruqui recently created headlines when he won the trophy of the reality show Lock Upp. The comedian’s recent post has caught the attention of the fans of Munjali, the fan-created name for Munwar and his Lock Upp co-contestant Anjali Arora.
Munawar uploaded a selfie with an unknown woman on his Instagram Stories the day after the show ended and he walked away with the winner’s trophy. He also added a love emoji to cover a portion of her face.
Munawar also included the song Lover by Diljit Dosanjh. He captioned it, “Bubby Bubby tera ni mai.” the comedian was close to Anjali on Lock Upp, but he had also hinted at having a real-life girlfriend. When he talked about her, he called her Bubby.
Munawar won the Lock Upp trophy, as well as a cash award of Rs 20 lakh and a luxury car, while Anjali became the second runner-up. Payal Rohatgi was crowned first runner-up.
During Munawar’s stay on Lock Upp, a photo of him with his estranged wife and son became viral. Kangana had shown him the image on the television and asked him for an explanation. He had said, “I am not hiding anything, but we have been separate for the past one and a half years. Court ki cheezein ho rahi hain (The matter is in the court) and I do not want to discuss that. It has been difficult.”
Not only that, but Saisha Shinde admitted to having feelings for Munawar but said that she knew he wouldn’t reciprocate it.
