Shahid Kapoor Expresses Gratitude to Vijay Deverakonda for Arjun Reddy

Here comes an interesting news. At the recent Prime Video event in Mumbai, Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Deverakonda shared a heartfelt moment on stage. Shahid expressed his gratitude to Vijay, acknowledging the pivotal role of Arjun Reddy in the creation of Kabir Singh. He affectionately thanked Vijay, stating, “I have to give him a lot of love. Naa Arjun Reddy bani hoti, naa Kabir Singh paida hota (If Arjun Reddy was not made then Kabir Singh would not be born). Thank you, Vijay!” This touching gesture was captured and shared by Prime Video India on their Instagram account.

Kabir Singh, the Hindi remake of Vijay Deverakonda’s Arjun Reddy, also featured Kiara Advani and garnered significant success at the box office, amassing over ₹250 crore in India. However, both films faced criticism for their portrayal of toxic masculinity and normalization of violence in romantic relationships.

Shahid Kapoor had previously expressed his gratitude to the audience for embracing the flawed yet beloved character of Kabir Singh. He acknowledged the evolution of Indian cinema and the audience’s receptiveness to unconventional narratives, emphasizing the importance of bold choices and the audience’s maturity.

Vijay Deverakonda, known for his role in Arjun Reddy, is set to appear in the upcoming film Family Star alongside Mrunal Thakur. Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor, last seen in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, has announced his next project, Ashwatthama – The Saga Continues.

The candid moment between Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Deverakonda at the Prime Video event resonated with fans, highlighting the camaraderie and mutual respect between the two actors.
