Last Friday belonged to a couple of low budget films including the one known as Miss Tanakpuri Haazir Ho. The film is directed by a journalist turned director- Vinod Kapri, which falls under the political satire. The lead roles in the film include Annu Kapoor, Om Puri, Hrishita Bhatt and Rahul Baggha. The film though was claimed to have a promising subject inspired by some real incidence of Rajashthan, yet failed to garner the right response it expected. The subject remain controversial and made headlines in the media, yet it failed to translate into good figures over the box office. No word of mouth, no any other similar fervor for the film was able to save the film.
As per reports, the first week box office collection for the movie Miss Tanakpur Haazir Ho tolled to around 1.5 crores, which was as expected by the experts. However, the filmmaker was keen to get bigger figure since he was patted by the bigwigs of B Town like Big B and Rajkummar Hirani. However, nothing really came out in the favour of the film, which eventually was seen with a meager figure of 1.5 crores. In fact, the other movie – Uvaa failed to get a decent collection so comparatively, Miss Tanakpur Haazir Ho is better in terms of collection in the list of movies released last Friday.
