Aamir Khan revealed THIS actress was the first choice for ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ & not Kareena Kapoor Khan!
Karan Johar in his latest episode of ‘Koffee With Karan 7’, asked Aamir Khan whether Kareena Kapoor Khan was his first choice for their upcoming film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’.
Aamir Khan while replying to the question stated that the characters in the film are shown on a journey from 18 to 50 years of life and so, they were in search of someone in the age group of 25 so that the actress playing the role can look younger and older as well.
Aamir shared that a casting director had mentioned a new actress and had shown him a video of the newcomer. He added that the ad also was featuring Kareena Kapoor along with the newcomer. Aamir then said, “We were looking at the video for someone else. Advait (Chandan) and I were watching and we saw Kareena in that, we were lost in Kareena.”
He revealed, “Both of us looked at each other and we said, why not Kareena.” “I cannot imagine anyone else in this role other than Kareena,” he added
When host Karan enquired about the new actress Aamir was talking about he replied saying, “That girl also was very good. No doubt about it.”
According to a social media account Diet Sabya, Kareena was featured in a jewelry store ad with Manushi Chhillar who will soon mark her debut in ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ along with Akshay Kumar.
On the work front, ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ directed by Advait Chandan, will be in the theatres on August 11.
