1920 Horrors Of The Heart trailer: Avika Gor’s Bollywood debut follows the same tried and tested formula of horror drama
Avika Gor who has been part of few Telugu films before, is now set to make her Bollywood debut with upcoming horror drama 1920 Horrors Of The Heart. And makers have dropped the first trailer of the film and it makes it quite clear that it’s going to be yet another run off the mill horror drama with some haunted mansion and tinge of romance.
The film’s trailer begins with a backdrop of a mansion on a remote beach. The scene transforms to a swing propelled by a mystical force. “I want to take revenge for my childhood and my father’s death,” Meghna (Avika) is heard stating. “I want to annihilate my mother and her happy family.” Meghna arrives at the home and meets her mother, Radhika (Barkha Bisht). Radhika introduces her to Rahul Dev, her second husband. Meghna approaches a painting of her father and asks him for their next strategy. Her father instructs her to assault Radhika’s stepdaughter.
Meanwhile, the evil spirit takes the soul of the stepdaughter and enters her body. Many demonic spirits soon visit the residence. The scene turns to Meghna expressing her regret on her decision to harm her step-sister.

The trailer makes it quite clear that there is nothing unique or new to offer in this horror drama helmed by Krishna Bhatt who is also making her directorial debut with this film. Krishna Bhatt is the daughter of filmmaker Vikram Bhatt. It follows the same old tried and tested formula we have seen in numerous horror films so far.
In her statement Avika Gor admitted to being a horror genre fan and stated, “I enjoy watching Horror and was keen to work with Bhatt in the genre as no one understands it better than them. Bhatt also have great music in their films. It truly is an honour to work in a film written by Mahesh, produced by Vikram Bhatt and directed by Krishna Bhatt.”
1920: The Horror Of The Hearts which also stars Barkha Bisht, Rahul Dev, Ketaki Kulkarni, Amit Bahl is scheduled to be released on 23 June 2023.
