Lock Upp: Munawar Farooqui cried while remembering his late mother

Lock Upp has been in the news for a variety of reasons, including fights, scandals, and more. However, the most recent episode left everyone, notably Munawar Faruqui’s admirers, in tears.

In the most recent episode, jailor Karan Kundrra granted the orange team members the chance to talk to their families by pressing the buzzer. As a result, the person who pressed the buzzer had to take the name of another orange team member and ban him or her from doing ‘jhol ghar’ duties indefinitely. The orange team opted to allow Ali Merchant press the bell after learning about his real motives for wanting to get to a call from his family. As a result, he had a talk with his grandmother and mother, who were both bedridden. Ali also assumed Payal’s identity and barred her from the ‘jhol ghar’ tasks as part of the mission.

For all of the kaidis, watching Ali talk with his family was an emotional experience, but Munawar Faruqui felt it the most. Munawar Farooqui couldn’t stop himself when Karan Kundrra asked whether he was okay, and tears streamed down his face. “Merko bas ye feel ho raha tha ki merko kabhi aisa phone nahi aa sakta,” he stated, expressing his need for his mother. Meri maa kabhi phone nahi kar payegi meri maa kabhi phone nahi kar payegi meri maa kab “Awaaz bhi aati hai merko to awaaz bhi aati hai.” Everyone, even Karan, was overcome with emotion as a result of this.

While everyone inside the Lock Upp jail was busy consoling Munawar Farooqui, Karan entered there too. He hugged Munawar and tried to console him. Karan told Munawar, “Jab tu hasta hai na to puri country hasti hai. Aaj tu ro raha hai na to pura green room, puri country aur main bhi ro raha hoon.” Munawar Farooqui replied, “Isliye to nahi rota hoon.”

In continuation, Karan said, “Tu ye jo call ki wait kar raha hai na, unhe na call ki zarurat nahi hai. They’re looking at you, they are with you, 24 hours, all the time. Unki duayein tere saath hai, pure Hindustan ki duayein tere sath hai. Terko kya lagta hai wo jo tujhe dekh rahe hain, do you think they’re not proud of you? Do you know how proud we are of you? I’m proud of you, I’m sure everybody here is proud of you.”

Munawar Faruqui’s mother committed suicide in 2002, for those who are unaware.
