Malaika is a popular item dancer, actress, VJ, model and TV show presenter. She is known to her passion for dance and music and thus considered to be the top item girls and thus a number of popular item numbers like Munni Badnam Hui and songs like Chaiyaa Chaiyaa for the movie Dil Se. He is born and brought in Mumbai in a Punjabi family. Her father was Punjabi, while her mom was a catholic and comes from a non filmy background. She is married to Arbaz Khan the younger brother of Salman Khan but still practises Catholic. The couple has a son. She did her schooling from Holy Cross High School, Thane, while after doing her 10+2, she started her modelling career.
While doing her modelling, she got the chance to work with MTV and soon she turned to be the VJ for the popular channel. She interviewed a number of B Town celebrities and later started anchoring with popular VJ called Cyrus Broacha under the popular programs like Style Check and Love Line. She entered into the modelling world and soon was seen in doing a number of commercial over smaller screens. While doing ads, she also got the chance to do a number of music albums including Gur Naal Ishq Mitha and a couple of items songs in movies like Dil Se for the song Chaiyya Chaiyya. Later in 2010, her song Munni Badnam Hui was a big hit for the movie Dabangg, which was produced by her own husband.
Later she was seen making a world record for performing the same song with 1235 participants. She also won the Taiwan Excellence celebrity endorser for the year 2012. She was even seen endorsing for the 30 plus. She was seen later performing with the stars like Shaan, Atif Aslam, Bipasha Basu, etc, in a number of concerts at O2 Arena London and LG Arena Brimigham. In the year 2014, she did a cameo in the movie of Farah Khan called Happy New Year, which was released last Diwali. Apart from the big banner, she also appears in reality shows as a judge. This include Nach Baliye, which was aired in 2005 at Star One. She continued with the show in Nach Baliye 2, which was aired in the year 2006. In the very same show, she was seen performing a number of item numbers. The other shows include Zara Nachke Dikha and Jhalak Dikhhla Ja wherein she remained in the judge’s panel. Later she was even seen in the popular show called India’s Got Talent.
