Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt, Shabana Azmi touchdown to Jaisalmer to shoot for Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani

Ever since filmmaker Karan Johar announced his forthcoming film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, social media has been buzzing over it and fans are really excited to get details about the project. The cast of the film is quite promising as Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt are all set to share the screen space again after Gully Boy. The film also includes legendary performers Shabana Azmi, Dharmendra, and Jaya Bachchan, who will be making a long-awaited comeback to the big screen. The actors and crew have been filming in a variety of locales around the country.

Alia who recently tied the knot with Ranbir Kapoor was spotted by the paparazzi earlier today at Mumbai’s Kalina airport. The actress was seen wearing a peach ethnic outfit as she departed to begin filming for Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Karan Johar, Shabana Azmi, and fashion designer Manish Malhotra have now joined the Gangubai Kathiawadi actress as they go to Jaisalmer to finish filming. The Kuch Kuch Hota Hai director can be seen wearing a matching tracksuit, while Shabana donned a salwar suit and Manish wore a patterned blue shirt. They were also spotted posing with photographers at the airport.

Meanwhile, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani will mark Karan’s return as a filmmaker after a 7-year hiatus, since his previous film was Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. The film was released in 2016 starred Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Fawad Khan.

Produced by Dharma Productions and Viacom18 Studios the film is set to be released in theatres globally on February 10, 2023.
