Adivi Sesh is ruling many hearts as his film ‘Major’ dominates the box office. According to reports, the film earned Rs 42.5 crore in the first five days of its release in Hindi.
Major’s cast and crew gathered to celebrate the film’s global success, and lead actor Adivi Sesh made a surprising promise.
The actor shares, “After I am done promotion of #Major, we are going to start a fund in the name of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan that will provide fund to CDS & NDA aspirants across the country. Many people from small villages don’t have the understanding of applying for such examinations, they don’t have enough money to buy the textbooks, guides etc. We will make sure that any aspiring army student/aspirant gets proper guidance and funds to pursue their dream. Initiating funding by myself I am going to bring on boards my friends , my family, my coworkers, my co-actors and will ensure that Major Sandeep’s legacy is one of the most sung legacy in India rather than unsung.”
The film has received universal acclaim from audiences and critics, and its global box office numbers have been phenomenal.
The film’s plot revolves around the life of Indian Army officer Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who was killed in the 2008 Mumbai attacks.
Adivi Sesh also wrote the screenplay, which was directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka and produced by Sony Pictures International Productions, Mahesh Babu.
The filmmakers held multiple screenings in various cities for select audiences.
While the audience’s immediate reaction helped the filmmakers gain confidence in the film, Adivi recalled one of the very special moments from one of the first screenings.
