Mahika Sharma not to celebrate Ganpati for a cause.

Mahika Sharma

Television actress Mahika Sharma has come forward and requested to help lives to recover after being victim to flood. She appealed people to contribute to chief minister’s relief fund for the flood-affected state of Bihar and Assam.

“We all will be celebrating Ganpati   (Ganesh Chaturthi) but people in Assam and Bihar are still victim to nature. As Nature is not in our hands and remembering the statement- All Indians are my brother and sister. So now its time to help our people. I would like to appeal to all my well wishers, friends and everyone to contribute to chief minister’s relief fund so that the government can work efficiently. Many elephants in my state have died because of flood. Please help those who are still alive in bad condition,” Mahika who won Miss Teen Northeast added in her statement.

Floods have wrecked havoc and as per reports, at least 200 people have lost their lives so far.  Central and State agencies are working in collaboration to counter the situation.  A massive relief and rescue operation drive is on in Bihar where the Army, Air Force as well as the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and Bihar State Disaster Response Force teams are working in collaborations. Earlier this year, Mahika has not celebrated her birthday and has donated lakhs to the Assam flood relief operations.

“I request to keep Assam and Bihar welfare in your prayers to Vighnaharta. Even I am not celebrating Ganpati as I have also funded the celebrating fund for the relief. But to every visit I’ll pray for helping the victims,” She concluded.
