Bio – Mahi Gill also spelled as Mahie is an Indian actress who works in a number of Bollywood movies. She was born on 19th December in the year 1975. She is remembered for her role of Paro in the movie called Dev D of Anurag Kashyap. This also gave her the Critics award at Filmfare in the year 2010. She hails from Chandigarh, Punjab and did her masters in Theater from University of Punjab at her hometown in the year 1998. She was married; however, it went down as she wasn’t that mature to handle it and called it too strenuous relations to move ahead in her life.

As far as her career is concerned, she got her first break in a Punjabi movie called Hawayein and as did a number of movies along with carrying out her luck with theater. This followed a couple of other roles in different movies. While in Bombay, she was seen struggling a lot but finally was able to be recognized by Anurag Kashyap in Dev D played the character of Paro. She later got the chance to act with Shreyas Talpade in the movie called Aage Se Right and the movie Paan Singh Tomar with Irrfan Khan. Her other movies include Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster (2011) with Jimmy Shergill and Randeep Hooda, which nominated her in the Filmfare for Best Actress category. Later, she got the chance to act in south Indian movies wherein she is seen playing a character in a Telugu movie called Toofan and also did its Hindi version called Zanjeer. In Bullet Raja she got the chance to try out an Item Number starring Saif Ali Khan.

Her upcoming movies include Buddha in a Traffic Jam, which unfortunately is delayed for unknown reasons. As far as her awards and nominations are concerned, she bagged a couple of awards with few nominations as well. She won the Best Actress Critic Filmfare Awards in 2010, while in 2012; she was nominated for Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster for best actress in Filmfare. She bagged Screen, IIFA and Big Star Entertainment awards for Dev D, and the movie Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns. As far as her personal life is concerned, after coming out from her divorce, she is now seen in a relationship with the man based in Goa. As far as her future or career is concerned it has now become stable and you can find her going steady both at her personal and professional levels.
