This actor then joined BJP in 1997 and later was seen contesting for Gurdaspur constituency in Punjab in the following year. He even headed the union ministry for cultural and tourism and later went to lead the external affair ministry of state as well.

3). Shatrugan Sinha

He is known for his famous dialogue – Khamosh apart from having the nickname called Shotgun. He entered in B Town with the movie called Prem Pujari by Dev Ananad and later garnered good roles to turn a popular actor of Bollywood. Some of his popular movies include Blackmail and Kalicharan. He defeated Shekar Suman in Bihar. He was also in the cabinet of Health and Family ministry for the 13th Lok Sabha elections. He even headed the BJP’s cultural and arts department.

4). Shabana Azmi

She is among the veteran Bollywood actress who remained active in social work. Some of the best movies include Masoom, Arth, Ankur and Godmother. She entertained the audience with her power packed performances. Having won the National Film Award for five times she was a popular face in social initiatives. She then was nominated in Rajya Sabha in 1997 for being active in social work and philanthropic work for so man years.

5). Jaya Bachchan

She is regarded as a versatile actress in Bollywood and considered to be among the top female actors in Indian Cinema. Apart from being a good actress, she is also active in Indian politics as well. Having married to Amitabh Bachchan, she bagged the prestigious award called Padma Shri. She was later nominated for Raj Sabha as MP along with her husband as well.
