Liger team Karan, Ananya & Vijay Deverakonda shares special Bday wish for Mike Tyson
Boxing ring legend will turn a year older. Mike Tyson is making his Bollywood debut with ‘Liger,’ which also stars Ananya Panday and Vijay Deverakonda in lead roles.
And, in honour of his birthday, team Liger has a special message for him. Karan Johar, the film’s producer, shared a video in which Vijay Deverakonda, Ananya Panday, and him can be seen giving him a special birthday shoutout.
Sharing the video the Arjun Reddy actor wrote, “Happy Birthday @miketyson I never even dreamt of meeting you, forget all the things I got to do with you. You are a memory for life (sic).” The video includes BTS (behind the scenes) footage of Mike Tyson shooting for Liger with the team. He can be seen conversing with the cast and discussing his scenes with the actors and filmmaker. The video also includes messages from Vijay, Ananya, and Karan.

Tyson finished dubbing for the film earlier this month. His acting scenes were filmed in the United States. ‘Liger’ has been hogging the spotlight since its inception, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the film’s production was halted. The film was supposed to be released in theatres worldwide on September 9 of last year, but it was pushed back due to the rising COVID-19 cases at the time.
Puri Jagannadh will direct the film, which will star Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy, and Vishu Reddy, among others. Charmme Kaur and the director’s production company Puri Connects co-produced it. The film will now be released in five languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, on August 25, 2022.
