Legal troubles for Kangana Ranaut over her Shaheen Bagh protestor comment- Punjab lawyer demands an apology

Well, it is a stated fact that Kangana Ranaut is ‘Queen’ of controversies. It feels that attracts controversies to her. Lately, she tweeted about the farmers’ protest. She shared a photo of an old lady and calling her Bilkis Bano aka Shaheen Bagh dadi.  It was a tweet about a female in the farmers’ protest. In her tweet she claimed that ‘she’ was available for hire at Rs 100 for an appearance. This was too much into the matter, as she is not aware about the farmers struggle and issues.

Reacting over this, Kangana faced severe response. Further a Punjab lawyer Hakam Singh, has sent the actress a legal notice.  There he has demanded an apology from her over her comparison of an old female protestor to Bilkis Bano aka Shaheen Bagh dadi.

The tweet is now deleted, had drawn a lot of attention on social media. Kangana had retweeted a tweet and wrote, “Ha ha ha, she is the same dadi who featured in Time magazine for being the most powerful Indian… And she is available in 100 rupees. Pakistani journos have hijacked international PR for India in an embarrassing way. We need our own people to speak for us internationally.” The lawyer served the legal notice on the grounds for ‘mocking’ the elderly woman who was actually protesting among the farmers. If she does not agree to do so, then the lawyer mentioned that he will pursue a ‘defamation’ case.

Well she has been constantly tweeting that she hopes government can solve this problem peacefully. She fears that anti-social elements may take an advantage over the same. Well, we too hope that this protest is solved by mutual understanding and peace.

May our country maintain the peace and happiness.
