Olympian Leander Paes Misses The Stroke, found guilty of domestic violence against partner Rhea Pillai

The man who made India proud through his achievement in the sports arena, cannot feel proud of himself as Leander Paes has been found guilty of domestic violence against her partner Rhea Pillai. The court directed to pay a monthly maintenance amount of 1 lakh rupees and also to pay a monthly rent of 50,000 if the latter chooses to leave their shared residences. 

The order passed earlier this month by Metropolitan magistrate Komalsing Rajput, which was made available on Wednesday. Leander Paes has won the bronze medal for India in men’s single at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. He is the first Indian and only tennis player to compete in seven Olympic Games. He also holds the record for the most Davis Cup doubles wins with 43 victories. He has also been conferred with Major Dhyan Chand Award, Arjuna Award, and Padam Shri as well Padma Bhusan Award.

Rhea Pillai had been married to actor Sanjay Dutt earlier and has been living in a live-in relationship for the past eight years and she was the live-in-relationship turned to marriage.
