Yes, you heard it right, now it’s official, the film has been sold at a whopping cost of 125 Cr to the said OTT platform thus making it the biggest ever deal happening between the makers of B Town films with the digital platform. The film starring Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani and it was supposed to hit the screens on the eve of Eid. However, with the lockdown continuing, there is no clarity as to when the people would return to their theatres to catch the films.Â
This deal is huge as films often are sold at the cost of around 60 to 70 Crores, but with 125, it seems to be a record in itself. The experts feel that the digital platforms investing that huge money on cracking the deal with the makers have enough opportunity to earn. They feel that it could be not less than 200 Crores from the film. Talking about the release of the film, the makers intend to take one more month to announce on the said digital platforms. The reasons are obvious, as there are many post-production work pending at the moment.
