Lalit Modi Slams Bigg Boss 20 Rumors as ‘Fake News’, Issues Legal Notice Over Contestant Speculation
IPL founder Lalit Modi has strongly denied reports claiming he will appear as a contestant on the upcoming 20th season of Bigg Boss. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Modi dismissed the claims as completely fabricated and confirmed that he has issued formal legal notices to news publications and social media accounts that circulated the unverified rumor.
In a direct post, Modi expressed frustration over the lack of fact-checking before the reports were published. He stated categorically that he has neither been approached by the show’s team nor has any desire or intention to participate in the reality series, urging outlets to verify facts before publishing false headlines.
In fact, he was quick to clear the doubt by calling it a fake news when he tweeted about it on the microblogging site called X formerly known as Twitter, how about checking his post as under:

The legal notice, issued by law firm Hirani & Associates on Modi’s behalf, labeled the claims as false, baseless, and mischievous. It clarified that no representative from the show’s producers, channels, or broadcasting networks had contacted Modi. Furthermore, the notice objected to the unauthorized use of his name, likeness, and image to falsely link him with the reality franchise.
Despite the brief controversy, anticipation remains high for Bigg Boss 20. Hosted once again by Salman Khan, the landmark season is set to premiere on September 6 on Colors and JioHotstar, featuring a newly teased format that introduces a special “jeevan daan” (lifeline) twist for contestants.
