Shah Rukh Khan has been given a big relief in 2017’s Raees’ case by the supreme court of India

Shah Rukh Khan has received significant relief from the Indian Supreme Court on his five-year-long issue. Yes, we are referring to the tumultuous situation brought on by Raees’ promotions, which left one person dead and numerous more hurt. Because of how serious the situation was, a criminal case was brought against the Bollywood superstar. For additional information, continue reading.

For the uninitiated, on January 23, 2017, Shah Rukh was riding the August Kranti Express when the situation descended into chaos as a large crowd gathered to get a glimpse of King Khan. As a result, a local politician by the name of Farheed Khan Pathan tragically passed away at a train station, with a heart attack being given as the cause of death. Others also suffered injuries.

Following this, Shah Rukh Khan was the target of a criminal complaint that the Gujarat high court dismissed in April of this year. The attorney for Congress leader Jitendra Solanki petitioned the supreme court to overturn this judgment and reinstate the criminal case against the Raees actor. The top court, however, declined to do so.

Check out bench’s statement here:

“What was the fault of this man (Shah Rukh Khan)? Just because he is a celebrity, it doesn’t mean he has no rights,” the bench of SC stated while supporting the decision of the Gujarat high court. “If somebody travels by train, there is no personal guarantee. A celebrity has equal rights like every other citizen of the country. He (Khan) is a celebrity but that doesn’t mean he can control everyone else. Let us focus on more important subjects that deserve attention and time of this court,” the bench added.
