Kubbra Sait, who starred in the film Sacred Games, has written a new book called “Open Book: Not Quite a Memoir” in which she makes some stunning claims. She talked about her horrible experiences as a youngster, including being sexually raped by a family friend when she was 17 years old. In the book, Kubbra also explains that she suffered for many years at the hands of her uncle to spare her family from being ‘destroyed.’
In her book, the actress also claims that a family friend, whom she refers to as ‘X,’ assaulted her in her home for two and a half years. Sait said she told her mother years later about being sexually abused right in front of her. In her book, Kubbra wrote, “When Mumma sighed at the reprieve that cash provided, I sighed too. Just then, a hand slid to the back seat of the car where I was sitting and slid up my dress. X, who was no longer my uncle, smiled as he rubbed my thigh. I was numb in that moment… He started frequenting our home, and Mumma would laugh with and cook for him. In front of her, he would kiss my cheek and say, ‘Oh my Kubrati, you’re my favorite little one’. Although uncomfortable, I kept quiet.”
She further revealed how she was first sexually abused in a hotel room,
“He drove down and took me to the hotel. He stroked my face and murmured about how tired I looked. Then, he kissed my lips. I was shocked and confused, but I couldn’t utter a word. This was not supposed to happen, but it was happening. I should have screamed, but I could not. I should have run for help, but I was shell-shocked. The kiss grew. He convinced me it was what I wanted, that it would make me feel better. He kept repeating it until I felt deafened, and then he unbuckled his trousers. I was unsure of what exactly was happening, but I remember thinking, I am losing my virginity. It was a big deal, but it was also my shameful secret.”
Meanwhile, the Kubbra Sait rose to dominance with its stunning portal to Kuku, a transgender woman in Netflix’s hit series Sacred Games. She has also appeared in films like Sultan, Ready, and City of Life.
