Kriti Sanon is all set to play the role of a surrogate mother in the upcoming film Mimi. The actress wrapped up the shoot last year before the lockdown was imposed. The actress unveiled the first look earlier this week.
Now Kriti has dropped the first look poster of the film today. Kriti can be seen with a pregnancy bump, and the tagline reads, “Nothing like what you’re expecting!”
The actress shared the poster on her social media handle and confirmed the release date. The film will hit the screens on July 2021. The actress wrote, “This July, expect the extraordinary from the ordinary! ✨ Stay tuned.”
Mini is produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films in association with Jio Studios and directed by Laxman Utekar. The film is based on the Marathi film Mala Aai Vhaaychy which won the National Award for Best Feature Film in Marathi in 2011.
Earlier, while speaking with PTI, Kriti said, “It’s not preachy or serious. It’s not like you are going to watch a film on surrogacy and it’s going to be a documentary film. It’s a very entertaining film, filled with humour, and a lot of ups and downs. There’s a beautiful graph of the woman I am playing, Mimi, where she wants to be an actress.”
Meanwhile, Kriti Sanon has Akshay Kumar’s Bachchan Pandey, Varun Dhawan’s Bhediya and Prabhas’ Adipurush in her kitty.
