Madras HC Shows Green SIgnal to Kangana Ranaut’s Thalaivi But Conditions Apply

The late Jayalalithaa has been known as an actress turned politician. She was known for her powerful aura and people used to call her Amma with great affection and respect. Her life remains perfect stuff to make a biopic that made the filmmakers take up the rights of the movie called to make a film titled as Thalaivi. Kangana Ranaut was roped in for the role and she was preparing hard when a petition against the film was filed in the Madras High Court raising some objections on it.

However, while hearing the case, the Madras High Court has dismissed the objections raised by the people. The petition was filed in the court by Deepa the niece of the late politician. The court has directed the filmmakers of both the biopic and the web series asking that Deepa have the right to maintain her privacy and when she has objected on in it the filmmakers would not use any character resembling her. With this, the makers of both the film and the web series have to remove the character that resembles to Deepa.

It was Justice Senthilkumar Ramamoorthy who has rejected her petition to stop the film into the making or screening the same on the digital media. Both the directors of the film and the web series have accepted this condition and are now pursuing their ventures ahead. the biopic film is directed by AL Vijay and the web series called Queen based on the late actress turned politician has Gautham Menon as its director.
