For the Sonakshi Sinha, her recently released film Khandaani Shafakhana had a poor show on the box office in its first weekend. In fact, the show started with low occupancy from the very first day of its release, while it remained the same in the coming first two days as well. Like Friday, both the first Saturday and Sunday seemed meager in terms of collection. The film opened up up 80 lakhs on Friday, while on Saturday the film collected similar among closing with 90 lakhs.
Sunday, however, witnessed some amount of surge at the box office but again it was too trivial to notice. The collection on the first Sunday went o score 1.45 Crores at the box office. With this, the first-weekend box office collection for Khaandaani Shafakhaana went on to give a collection of 3.15 Crores, which is really meager one. As expected the film failed to garner the good word of mouth buzz in the after its release. Even the ratings were not decent enough to attract the audience.
The taboo issue covered in the film had given low ratings and reviews to the sex comedy. The weekdays would go on a similar note as the film would go unnoticed. Such films with Sonakshi Sinha playing the lead role of a lady who runs an infertility clinic giving advice on sex in the marital lives of the couples did not impress anyone. Well, the film would have a similar treatment at the box office during the weekdays as well and hence it has a very blick chance to get a good surge at the box office. Bad luck Baadshah for his debut this time, maybe he has to wait for another film to get a decent collection at the box office.
